Every call answered, even when you can't pick up.
Your firm keeps its number. When you can't answer or the line is busy, the call forwards to Abby. She takes the intake, runs a conflict check, follows up by text and email, and books the consult.
One flat monthly fee, and it works on its own with no other software needed. See pricing.
Front Desk is in development and isn't available yet. Founding firms help shape it and see it first.
How it works.
Nothing changes for the calls you answer yourself. Abby picks up the ones you can't.
- 01
Keep your number
Your phone rings as it does today. Calls you don't answer, or that come in while you're on the line, forward to Abby.
- 02
Abby answers in your firm's name
She takes the intake details you ask for, and the caller is told up front that the call is recorded.
- 03
A conflict check before anything else
Abby checks the names against your firm's list before anyone gives advice, and holds possible matches for an attorney.
- 04
The consult gets booked
Abby offers times from your calendar and books the consult while the caller is still on the phone.
- 05
Follow-up by text and email
Leads hear back the same day. Routine messages go out on their own if you choose; anything else waits for a person to approve.
The first call decides a lot.
A caller who can't reach you usually calls the next firm on the list.

What you can count on.
Front Desk is one flat fee for one firm, and it answers only for you.
Only your firm
Abby answers under your firm's name and works only for you. We don't run a shared line that routes callers between firms.
One flat fee
The fee doesn't change with the number of calls, cases or people at the firm, and we never take a share of your fees. See pricing.
Grows into Practice
Front Desk is part of Practice, so if you later run the whole firm on Hand & Seal, nothing about your calls changes.
Does Abby give legal advice?
No. Abby takes details, checks for conflicts, answers questions about your firm such as hours and location, and books the consult. Questions about a case wait for a lawyer.
Do I need Clio, MyCase or any other software?
No. Front Desk works on its own with your phone number, email and calendar. If you already use practice-management software, it can sit alongside it.
What happens to call recordings?
Callers are told up front that the call is recorded. Before you sign, we'll set out in writing what is kept, where, and for how long. Calls travel over the phone network, as every call does.
